Welcome to the website of the Re-Elect Judge Carl Ginsberg Campaign. Thank you so much for your support in 2006, and I hope to maintain that support in the 2010 election cycle.
I wanted to share with you some of the progress we have made in the 193rd District Court since I took office two and a half years ago. As you may recall, at that time, the Court was the most backlogged Civil District Court in Dallas County, with a backlog of approximately 20% more than the average for all Civil District Courts, and 10% more than the next Court. In 30 months, we have cut the backlog by approximately 50% (despite the fact that case filings have increased by about a third), to become one of the least backlogged Civil District Courts in Dallas County.
How did we accomplish this? Working hard and working smart. Simply put, I am no show horse; I am a work horse. What does this mean? No longer does one have to wait years to get to trial in Dallas County. Justice delayed is justice denied. Whether one is a Plaintiff or Defendant, in a commercial or tort case, no one wants to be mired in protracted litigation. Being a fair, efficient, and patient Judge has always been my goal, and I hope you agree these goals have been met.
